Reviews for: The Nightingale's Lost Rose
Sapphire Warrioress 2/16/10 . chapter 1
A dark and poignant story. You did a wonderful job capturing Erik's fury against humanity, his obsession with Christine, and his grief that at the last he was denied what so many take for granted.

This was well written and dramatic, with dark undercurrents which made it a really enjoyable read.

Oh this is wonderful! So heartbreaking!

Your style of writing is beautiful! It reminds me a lot of Kay's here. I think you did an outstanding job of characterizing Erik, and you have a wonderful way of captivating his essence.

Thankyou very much for publishing this!

So, so beautiful. I always loved the story of the nightingale and the rose and I love how you used it.

By the way, I saw echoes of Hunchback of Notre Dame in here. I take it you were inspired by that in part? :)

I love the way you blended the different versions. The ending made me cry.

Brava. Brava. Bravisima.

And happy belated birthday. I was going to wish you it in my next chapter, but it hasn't been put up yet.

Heartbreaking. Just heartbreaking. I can imagine Christine felt the same way when she read this.

How heartbreaking. It wasn't fair how he was treated from the beginning, he would never have wanted to have been born like that. What gives other humans the right to pre-judge a baby?

The ending was tearful, he wanted to die in her arms but then once again he realized dreams don't come true-especially for him.

Another incredible one-shot from you!

This ws not something I should have read first thing in the morning. It was so beautiful and heartbreakingly sad that it shall be with me all day. I almost cried!
