Wow that was tense! The fight between Arthur and Valiant had me biting my nails all the way through, but thankfully the right man won. And I loved the references to Valiant's snake-like tongue etc :)
Poor Merlin getting knocked out like that had me scared for a while until he came round, but it was so sweet how Arthur was all avenging anger at first and then real concern at the hospital.
Loved Arthur and Merlin going public with their relationship and everybody being happy for them. I wasn't expecting Uther to come round that easily and be so accepting, but I'm so glad he did.
I also loved the way the newspapers mistakenly referred to Arthur as the director of the Institute, instead of assistant director - like a foreshadowing of King Uther's death and Prince Arthur inheriting the crown.
I read this chapter almost not wanting to reach the end because I really didn't want it to be over. I'm so happy there's going to be an epilogue!

I loved the image of Arthur as Merlin's knight in shining armour and am glad they're both okay. It looks like Uther seems to be warming to the idea of them which is good.
I agree with Arthur, Merlin skiing will definitely be a disaster.

I'm proud of Merlin for standing up to Valiant, but not for getting himself hurt from it. I will admit to having a small moment of panic when he got hit and then read the words: the back of his head hitting the marble with an ominous crack.

Thanks to Arthur for doing what I was wanting him to do to Valiant. I'm not sure if you meant to do it, but their fight almost reminded me of the one from the show with a surprise box cutter instead of surprise snakes.

I love the boys' banter in the ambulance and later at the hospital. Count on Merlin to be so witty after coming out from a mild concussion.

Yes, the Pendragon siblings managed to overcome Uther! I knew they had it in them. And I love the closing line of Uther's email where he suggested Arthur bring "Mr. Emrys" with him to London. I think that's as close to a stamp of approval as Merlin can get.
