Sigh. Look what you've done to me. I don't read slash. I don't. (Ok, maybe like a couple of O/S's but they don't count). I can't promise that I will stay with you... but I will... attempt it... lol. You didn't disappoint me w/ Jazz despite my initial apprehension (rather the opposite)... so I will be brave.

I like how you are using the vignette approach. I thought that worked very well with the Cowboys. It allows you to progress through time rapidly and allows you to *not* share every little detail. It keeps the reader on her toes, forces us to pay attention since you've only included what you really want us to read (ie no filler).

As always, your word choice is interesting, unique, and colorful. You paint lovely pictures, easily visible and imaginable to the reader.

"Edward slumped to his knees, eyes squeezing shut as he fingers caught chunks of grass. " - I loved this. Very visual and "interesting". I liked the 'chunks of grass'.

I had to chuckle a sec at voyeuristic Edward peeping in on "la puta y el gordo". Interesting little tidbit...not absolutely necessary but these types of snippets add a certain richness to the story.

Fine, fine action scene there at toward the end. Your characters were dancing in my head; I could easily picture it all.

Your plot is intriguing, I must admit. I'm very interested to see where this goes.
