Not exactly sappy. But it has some sort of beautiful sadness to it. The longing after being separated for so long... makes you just wish they got their happy ending finally :P

Well then I must be sappy too, because I liked it.

I thought it was quite respectfully done, showing the deep bond the two characters have and their genuine affection for each other. Two Thumbs Up!
