You have once again blown my mind. You brought completely adult and "human" emotions into a chracter that was previously one-sided and boring. Nice. Not what I expected at all.

I actually think this is pretty nice. Like, dead on.I don't like that it feeds into the unspoken but widely understood idea in our culture that men and women cannot be friends alone, with nothing sexual happening. (I mean that it implies that Jake and Leah are physically incapable of having a platonic relationship, despite wactching each other grow up, because of their genders. And happen to see each other naked pretty often.) I would like very much if this became a full blown story that only follows Leah's stream of conciousness. So that, instead of describing everything in plain, boring, 4th grade reading level clarity (cough cough TWILIGHT!) it would only hint at events and force the reader to make their own assumptions. I really did like this though, otherwise I wouldn't have taken the time to review.
