I absolutely love your story! Aside from a few grammatical errors that did not detract from my reading, it was well thought out. I've only ever seen Sylvia as sad in the series, so this was a nice change. Maybe a little background as to how they met would be nice considering Catherine was never where Sylvia was during the story would make a nice addition if you continue writing.

Also, good flow and slight switch of talking skills when the drunkenness starts kicking in. Only thing lacking is good description of scenery, but bars are popular places to frequent, so a picture of their surroundings still popped up in my head.

"This is number three. You were really late so I had to start without you."

Catherine waved a waitress over. "I'll have four of whatever she was having."

*Bursts out laughing*

"I think we should stick to a cat."

"You're allergic to cats." She tilted her head to the side and then folded her arms over her chest. "Oh I see, then I'd be stuck taking care of it or we wouldn’t have one at all."
