Lewism333 11/13/12 . chapter 1Very well done, if I didn't know better I'd say it was Nabokov himself who wrote it! Truly fantastic work. |
The Lonely Hunter 5/6/12 . chapter 1Brilliant! Need more be said? All right, all right. A hearty handshake and well-deserved kudos for doing such an excellent job imitating Nabokov's style. Really, you got it. |
a daughter called random 4/19/12 . chapter 1Howdy - I like to believe I've grown up a tad since last reviewing a while back under the name BoomShanka or something. Please disregard that review as this one is way more valid. I think I said something like this made me laugh - well, it didn't this time. It's VERY Nabokov-esque and convincing, so extremely well done to you. Can I just say, you manipulated my emotions into a puddle of miserable goo? I was sat here wringing my hands. It's beautiful and tragic and the references are great. It's just perfect. "Farewell, my Annabel. You will not kiss and tell? Fear not, I will." and "Our lives once intersected, so frail a moment I blinked and lost sight of you. Will you believe me when I say I need you?" MY HEART CAN'T DEAL. OH GOD. WELL FUCKING DONE. |
Nanako-chan.Japan.Sugoi 3/17/12 . chapter 1This was really amazing. You captured his writing style so vividly and it was very similar. It was like Lolita infront of me again. I'm impressed with your work of my favorite Nabokov. |

VedaPierce 6/6/11 . chapter 1This was wonderful. I truly enjoyed reading this and your style of writing. |
Madame Apathy 5/26/11 . chapter 1You did a fantastic job of this. You mirror Nakabov's style wonderfully, and the imagery is exquisite. I wish you the best of luck with anything else you write and can only hope your other stories are anywhere near this quality. Appy. :) |
Oppenheimer's Oratory 5/21/11 . chapter 1Spot on characterization of Humbert Humbert. It gave me chills, actually. Nice. |
Catherien Darker 4/23/11 . chapter 1 That was the most beautifuly writen fiction I have ever read , Realy it was. If you were to wrie a book it would be my favoirte. I know it was based off another , and although you were true to that book in you'r writing you still made it you'r own , i especialy loved the few quoets such as "sepulcar by the sea " (I love Poe.) It's a pity I can only leave feedback and not really talk to you . I just want to say this piece of writing has given me hope that GOOD writing still exists. |
