oh come on! you can't finish it at that!

You've set it up for a multi-chapter fic, it would be an interesting one. as a one-shot its confusing but as a first chapter for a longer story it's very good!

Your writting style is good and it was intresting, though it felt unfinished (hint hint) lol

anyway, I'll alert it just incase, and yes this did remind me of old samurai anime movies :)

Samurai 3 I have a thing for historical stuff, but especially for samurai stuff. Especially during Edo, under the Tokugawa: peaceful life and lots of sex, free of gender of course.

Anyway, Squal and Cloud as half foreigners is a great idea, that set well in the story, even if the chances were so very slim before the Meiji revolution as foreigners were not allowed on the territory of japan (well, until Perry's black ships I mean).

I can really picture Squall as the proud, strong, polite vassal you described and Cloud the wild rĂ´nin. Their japanese names is a good idea. going by that logic, Cloud is called Kumo then. Which both means spider and cloud. fun XD

Anyway, great job, there's potential for a multi-chapter fic in this, and I wouldn't mind reading it...

Forgot to mention this at the meme, but I liked their names, too. As for Sephiroth, I think mentioning him the way you did was great and effective. The best thing I can come up with for a name is "Rekkyo," and no one would ever get the reference there. But Masamune? Everyone will catch that. :D
