This is really funny, and also adorable! The idea of Clark being more uptight than Jonathan and Martha - who of course, prove that being responsible is not the same thing as being uptight - is always fun, and you did a great job with that. And I was totally amazed to see that this story started out strong but got PROGRESSIVELY more hilarious. I was in stitches by the time I got to "The answer snapped out of him like it was some sort of automated reaction" which more hilarity than I could take. I don't use this word very often, but...wonderful. This is wonderful.
