Reviews for: The Proper Warder Attitude
PsychoLeopard 11/11/10 . chapter 2
Altogether now: awwww.

Catching up on about a year' worth of updates in WOT (to tide me over 'til I get my hands on ToM) and so far your stuff is the best. S and G are totally in character, and yet you managed to do fluff. Well done!

I adored this chapter. It was tender and funny and very true to life for them (and us). Simply beautiful. Thanks for writing this. It's marvelous! Is there more? God, I hope so.

Beautifully written, sweet and very funny.

9.5/10 on the concept.

8/10 on execution. (This is one of those good 8's, not the ones you get on a bad video game btw)

The way you write the two of them...i don't think they'd be this open, even with each other. They were always a closed couple.

Kadsuane is right. Warders are like an extention of one's self. I've always thought so.

Bloody brilliant! If anyone can set those two straight, it's Kadsuane. Question is, will it last? It really wasn't anything like I expected, but that's a good thing. Sometimes action and reason works best, and I think Kadsuane took the right approach. Siuan's mood will definitely be more on the forgiving side now. And seeing how much Siuan's humiliation hurt her, Garith will be more amenable to compromise of some sort.

"And watch your tongue, too, I hope. Very well. My work is done, and simple enough it was. Go see her at once. Before her mood steadies... and before the

Yellows Heal that charming bruise from your face. Faced with that reminder of her own temper, while she's still disquiet, I suspect she will be more amendable

to apologies." She's so sneaky! Her experience serves her very well in resolving this situation. I wonder if in her younger days, she ever had a similar problem? If she did, how did she resolve it?

Oh gods. That totally sounds like Gawyn. I hope Garith does put him straight. It better explains Egwene's frost and temperment.

"she had proven herself brave

enough to approach the legendary Green, and because she had showed herself hard enough to… leave her own Warder in Cadsuane's grip like a dimfish in a

silverpike's maw." I loved that. Original, yet very WoT.

Oh my. Itt did take guts to leave Garith with Kadsuane. The news of his apology and the rest will be around the tower before Siuan can say Silverpike. And sorry, Siuan dear, I'm afraid it probably is the pregnancy. It doesn't help that Siuan is, in general, a tempermental person. I'm not envious of Garith or anyone else in her proximity for the next few months.

"Oh, Gareth, what did that awful woman do to you?"

Gareth blinked. "Cadsuane… Sedai? I… yes. It was quite awful." Lol!

Aw. That ending was so sweet, I had to smile. I liked her reasons for forgiving him. He apologized not because he had to, or even because she's his Aes Sedai, but because he loves Siuan. The woman.

Haha I can totally see Gawyn doing that ;-)

Good story you've really got Gareth and Siuan down and I think they're so sweet together you got that too!

In a word-amazing.

This is so well written, that I'm tempted to wrap Sanderson in a curtain and leave the grand finale to you! :DDD

I enjoyed this fun "scribble" as you called it. It made me laugh several times. Particularly this bit:

He –

Tossed his arm up to swipe aside the water pitcher that came hurtling for his face. Thank the Light for Warder reflexes.

you really should continue this I want to know what Cadsuane does haha... ;)
MaraLSky 2/27/10 . chapter 1
Well, *I* thought it was hilarious. :) I do hope you write more of it-I want to find out exactly what Cadsuane's "advice" is for Siuan. Poor Gareth won't know what hit him.

Now, I've been told in several reviews of my own story "An Ironic Twist of Fate" that channelers don't get morning sickness-but pah! The idea of Siuan with morning sickness is just TOO FUNNY to miss out on. I'm thinking we should just make the excuse that Siuan was stilled and it somehow affected that immunity. ;)

I think Egwene may end up eating her words once she finally gets around to bonding Gawyn. I imagine having a Warder who's head-over-heels in love with you is quite a bit more challenging than your average platonic Aes Sedai-Warder relationship-after all, their main motivatio is to PROTECT the women they love, rather than simply run around being their private one-man army. Not to mention neither Gareth nor Gawyn are...well, tame Warders. They weren't exactly TRAINED to be Warders, and Gawyn shows enough rebellion in his actions in TGS. Of course, Gareth has the added challenge of having had Siuan as his maidservant for several months.

I loved it! You really do a nice job capturing S and G's chemistry. Thanks for posting it.

Just a scribble? You're wonderful at scribbles, Ma'am.

This was so beautiful, and so much like Garith and Siuan. I love how you used the bond to intensify the tention. Siuan must've been so afraid he wouldn't accept the baby. Seems she was going to wait till he found out for himself. I understand where she's coming from in regards to why she stopped taking percautions. I was reminded of that sceen in NS when Moiraine asked why so many babies were born during wartime. Egwene's right though, everyone everywhere is at risk. Besides. Siuan sacrificed so much, she deserves to see it through.

*laughs* How quickly it turned from fluff to a fight between the pair. He really shouldn't have said they had to keep her away from TG.

Siuan's face was cool and dignified. She sniffed. "When I throw something at you, Gareth Bryne, it's because I want something to hit you, and I expect you

to have the decency to let yourself be bloody hit."

"And hitting me is supposed to make me change my mind?"

"No! It's supposed to make me feel better. I don't need to change your mind. You're my Warder. You'll do as I say."

Ooh! I laughed so much at that, but I was feeling terrible for Garith. When did Siuan start channeling at him? I think she tried to avoid it most of the time before they were bonded. And then the man actually "let" something hit him! She used the bond to compel him! I wanted to clap when he through the curtains over her and threw her over his shoulder. That's right, Garith. Show her you can play that game too. He went for reinforcements! Man's a general down to his boots.

Watching their trip to the Amyrlin's study was quite amusing. Is it the first time something like this has happened?

Even when he's angry at her, he's unwilling to see her punished because of him. But why is Egwene being so formal? She seems so cold. Did she and Siuan never make up? Did she never forgive Garith either? The women were friends once, but even when Egwene had finally managed to get the reigns of the Aes Sedai in Salidar in her hands, she wasn't this formal. Maybe it's her anger at being interupted with their "domestic issues".

I was a little worried about them. I kept thinking, have they forgotten Garith is a man? Has Siuan forgotten that he's the man she loves even as he's her warder? But I see her point too. When they retire to his estate, then things will change. Right now, they have to remember this is bigger than either of them. I should've known Garith wouldn't get the last word. Women are vengeful creatures. But Kadsuane, of all people? I can only imagine what happens next!
