You have so much versatility with pairings...I admire that!

Ahkay. I'm not going to say you've converted me to this pairing, but one more fic like this might just do it. xD

We don't know much about Hashirama's actual character, his personality and whatnot, and yet the portrayal of him here seems like it could easily be canon. I really liked it.

But what makes me love the fic-among other things-is the fact that you actually made Madara...likable. *twitch* I seriously liked his character here. *twitch* Do you know how hard it was for me to type that? I /loathe/ Madara.

Some random lines I liked:

'And this is true; Madara simply discounts them, paper dolls who crumble into flame in the blood-red light of the sharingan.' I could see him thinking that, definitely.

'[Hashirama's]wide eyes, and Madara's laugh, and the off-key clamor of his common sense as the corners of Madara's mouth turn up, up, shaking a few spring leaves to float over unknown water.' I loved that line. Gorgeous imagery; terrific metaphor. You have a gift for metaphors. x)

Hmm, what else...I avoid reading lemons almost as if they were the plague, so it's incredible to me that you can write, well, 'M-rated' scenes without them being M-rated. Talk about class.

In short, another masterpiece. How you create them regularly is something I don't understand. xD

Can I just say your Madara is the BEST EVER! I'm not so sure about the first as a character though. I've never really read him where he wasn't just something to bounce other characters off or to balance out Madara, but I think you did a good job with him. Loved how it was from his point of view kind of. It gave both of them more depth. Besides, all of these that seem to be popping up lately are usually from Madara's. It was beautiful, bittersweet, and I totally dug that whole tree thing.

This is great! Love the happy take on the founding of Konoha.
