killmotion 3/9/10 . chapter 1As always, your words are a poem. So exquisite and wonderful! |
fiesa 3/7/10 . chapter 1I havent read the book but I hope I can still comment on this one shot
A really, really nice reflection of Olivias thoughts - and on monsters, in general and specifically. I like the way she thinks about the antagonistics of fables and fairytales - and about the monsters under the bed. It reminded me of Walter, telling those children in a museum they might never had found the monsters if they hadnt looked for them... (I dont remember the episode, though, what is just typical for me).
I hope Olivia will find the strenght to keep fighting - just as she promised herself. |
MadeOfStars 3/6/10 . chapter 1Great introspection. I like this kind of protrayal of Walter. It fits with my view of him. I really just don't like him and yes, gray from grayer, he could be excluded a little maybe, but I don't want to and Olive wouldn't either. Maybe Olivia wouldn't. The Anansi reference was fitting. Have you read Gaiman's American Gods? Not only does Anansi show up there but I could even see Walter there as a god of f*ed up science... |
