I've reread the story from Chapter 1-48. I won't get tired of reading it again and again. I hope there are upcoming chapters... please... :-D

All I can say is WOW, this and LouiseX's companion story are both outstanding! And you really do have to read LouisX's Codependence to really get the big picture, which is a very unique experience.

I remember when I saw Mind Polution and the following ep with Linka back to normal, I remember thinking they had to have had a time jump, you don't recover from not only an addiction at the level Linka was at AND losing a close cousin overnight. Know that moreso now that I've gotten to work in the medical field and saw how dangerous even NON-Narcotic drugs are, let alone the big bads. These stories fill the blank wonderfully. The Ups and Downs are right on target. Early on, I do think Wheeler caved on her a little too easily at certain points (particularly the point he caught her looking for drugs in his room then tried to turn Gi against him) but that is also a very realistic take on it, yet he stepped up and stayed strong when it mattered most and has become her rock. It almost seems like she's replaced the need for the drug with a need for Wheeler. Which could be a good or bad thing depending solely on Wheeler.

Also some of my favorite points is Wheeler becoming integrated into her family, particularly his interaction with her gram, and how she's practically already welcomed him into the family. She knows she's met her future grandson-in-law. Just like everyone else both in the story and those reading, it's only a matter of time before those two lovebirds realize they've already become a couple without even realizing it!

Great read! Can't wait for the next installment!

Sorry I could not review it earlier as I was on as I said in the latest "poking", your updates make me super top of it, it was an extra long and sweet chapter which helped me kick off my new year in you for acting so fast on my , not to mention, you dedicating this chapter to me was the cherry on way you portray Wheeler and Linka, you make them the sweetest couple in the whole . I look forward to more of your stories.

Anyhoo, like I said in X's review, it seems that there is a warming trend occurring in the Orlov house with Dimitri, Linka, and Wheeler too. I hated him at first for the horse's patoot he acted like in the first chapters. I don't think it would matter much to Wheeler other than making Linka happy, but now I'm really rooting for Dimitri and she to reconcile, and for him to have some redemption. You both protrayed Dimitri's grief so well, because when there is a death, yes, there's sadness, but also a #$&-ton of anger mixed in even at the best of times, and with the way Borya went, you can forgive the guy, a little.

Anyway, so Wheeler with the vodka, so atypical, and I understand why people put that stuff in the freezer too.

Anyhoo, great chapter, I hate to sound so repetitive about it, but there's only so many ways you can convey enjoyment without losing credibility.
