Beautiful! For a moment I was trying to figure out how Pippin might conclude it was his fault. I forgot he touched the skeleton that fell.

This is incredible! I love it! I don't think I've ever read anything like this before... :D This could always be carried on... or you could write this same scene from each of the remaining characters POV...
