Many of the facts were incorrect (Lark came to Winding Circle when she was thirty, Rosethorn knows that she (herself) is bisexual, etc) but the story was excellent. I love the combination of Rosethorn's physical and emotional longing for her best friend (I've been there, done that), rather than just having the hots for her, and the beautiful writing. All in all, the story is amazing.

Aw, weird, and totally unplausible, but very very sweet.

I must point out: Rosethorn is a plant mage, Lark is a thread mage. All their magework has to be done with either plants or thread, respectively, not raw power. Rosethorn and Lark did not meet when they were fifteen and thirteen. Lark was a traveling arcobat. She didn't even know she had magical power until she was nearly thirty. Rosethorn lived on a farm with her father, then left, was sent to mage school, then Lightsbridge, then Winding Circle. So, in canon, your whole pirate-attack-where-they-joined-power thing can't work, but it was cute, and I do so love Lark/Rosethorn fluff. Well-written, if wrong. Er, good job, I guess.

This story is wonderful! One of my favorite Rosethorn/Lark! They're perfect together! Would you write a Rosethorn/Crane? I'm a Rosethorn fan, R/C or R/L! Doesn't matter to me!
