Hi FernWithy! Here I am reviewing your stories! I think you said that this was your first HP fanfic. I like the way you chose to tell the tale from a Muggle's point of view. Petunia and Lily are not even teenagers yet, but you can see the beginning of the estrangement as their worlds begin to separate. Seeing the way Petunia's friends express their feelings towards Lily makes her want to act the same way. I think it's very interesting that you use the cupboard under the stairs as a private spot shared by the Evans sisters. Little James is a cutie!

Aww... but that was really, really sweet. It's just, you never really get to hear about Petunia's side of the story, so then you really feel for her when she realizes that she's losing her sister! But you wrote it really, really well. :D

Great story. You made her human and someone you can relate to a bit if you ever had a sister.

Poor Petunia! And poor Lily, but poor, poor Petunia. You've made her seem so human and pitiable! It's wonderful characterisation, I feel, and you've done a simply amazing job.

I'm struck by the use of the closet under the stairs as a safe, happy place for Petunia as a child - and then she uses it as a place of punishment for Harry later. Good contrast!

Oh my god, that's so sad! I can't believe how sad this is! Petunia just falling into a routine of hating her sister... It's so frustratingly sad! One thing, though- isn't Lily the younger sister?

This is REALLY good. I never thought I'd like a story with Petunia.

This is another great story that explores Petunia's relationship with Lily. I think it's possible there was a time when they did get along, but eventually drifted apart. The closet thing...I'm thinking that this is possible where Petunia gets her Harry-in-the-closet idea, but I like this story. You have this sort of bittersweet style thats touching and sad, but you take the most interesting characters...for example, Petunia...it's original and wonderfully written.

I like this fic too. I can totally see how Petunia ended up the way she is now, through this fic. Keep up the good writing. :)

What a neat story. I love how you fleshed Petunia out and gave her reasons for her behavior. I've always felt just a little bit sorry for Petunia, it couldn't have been easy to have a sister with special powers. Sort of the way I think Dawn must sometimes feel about Buffy. (That is if you're familiar with Buffy the Vampire Slayer.) :-)

The way you look into every background, every detail in a universe, and bring that information to light with your works of fan fiction is extraordinary. Your Star Wars works especially. But this one was just as awesome. Now I'd wish you would write more HP fan fiction, too. ;

Wow - this was a really well-done story, and it gave such a sympathetic and believable reason for why Petunia turned out the way she did - it makes all the sense in the world, seen from the point of view here. I couldn't have imagined myself bothering with a story about horrid old Petunia before, but now I'm glad I did. :) Thanks.
