You're really funny in this one, which is surprising, since the subject matter is fluffy and angsty, so congrats, I guess. I was going to quote my favorite funny moments, but there were so many I eventually got tired of copy&pasting and just read.

Quick grammar correction for ya there:

"She was so much braver than him" is incorrect. It SOUNDS correct because Tony's pronoun comes after "than", which is a preposition, but really, this is shorthand for

"She was so much braver than HE WAS", so therefore, it should be written

"She was so much braver than he." Or you could just add the "was" at the end so it doesn't sound so hinky.

Believe me. I just took an SAT grammar class today. I've been reviewing my English notebooks. I know.

I was wondering what you were up to and just realized that I never reviewed this story. My bad. Hoping that this will make up for it.

You know, you write Tony so well. You capture his brooding as well as his feelings for Ziva exquisitely. I never made the connection between Tony's interrogation of Mayne and Salim's interrogation of Ziva but you have a point.

Loved how Gibbs knew that Tony needed to see Abby and Mortimer. Mortimer is an absolute darling and that Ziva knew to come see him there.

Loved the Soulmates reference. I thought that story was OK overall but it provides excellent fodder on Tony/Ziva in the long term.

I have to say that work, renos (yes it's still going on but the end is in sight, finally) and other interests have kept me too busy to have seen the last few eps of the season, but I think that these two will be dancing around one another for all eternity.

Really cute piece. I enjoyed it a lot. Especially the part about Tony lying on the floor with the puppy. Don't know why. Got a thing about cute men with cute dogs, I guess. Plus your pen name always makes me want to go listen to the song Michael Weatherly recorded, Bitter and Blue. Its pretty amazing, and he is a great singer, which I appreciate in a man. Sexy voice too. So much fun. I don't know who decided that NCIS needed to air three or more times per day, but that guy needs a raise, a cheesecake, many many hugs, and a really hot girlfriend.

Hey, great to see you back again, though I suppose I'm a little late to the party :) Lovely work, as always. You added a lot of depth to an episode I hadn't really put a lot of though into.
