Nice! Filch really seems to be a decent chap when he is not seen from the students' eyes. His worrying about mrs Norris was heart warming, and I enjoy how well he and Hagrid gets along. That beach-spell Dumbledore put on Fluffy explains why the dog was content with being in that corridor as well. To bad it put focus on Filch' squibiness though... Well done!

This was wonderful! I like Filch, and you've done a marvelous job with him here. So real, his pain at being nonmagic, even at his age :( And his devotion to Mrs Norris was perfect in this! Good job!

Well I've finally got around to read some of your stories and their great!

If somebody told me about a wonderful, Filch-centric, first person POV fic, I'd laugh. Shows how much I know.

I love the devotion and admiration he has for Mrs. Norris. In canon he's so...inaccessable, but he's very human here. And this may sound silly, but good job on Hagrid's accent. He's pretty hard to write (and read, if it's not done right!) but you pulled it off very well.

This was so cute . Filch, Hagrid, and even Mrs. Norris were so in-character. But at the same time, you've managed to put your own unique mark on all of them. You've managed to keep Ms. Rowling's wonderful characters and places just how they are in the books while still adopting your own writing style. An amazing feat indeed. I loved Mrs. Norris and Fluffy making friends _ This is great.

What the hell happened to Fluffy after SS/PS, anyway?

I never thought a Filch-fic would make me sniffly, but this one sure did! In such a short piece, you really highlight the ways in which he's alone in the world...in terms of his lack of family/companionship, as well as in his magical inabilities. Didn't JKR say that in a future book, someone will learn magic later in life? I'd never thought of Filch before, but it's a thought!

Filch's devotion to Mrs. Norris is surprisingly touching:

"Mrs. Norris was accustomed to going almost everywhere she wanted to go inside the castle corridors. No corridor was “Forbidden” as far as she was concerned. I’d given her stern warnings

and a very serious lecture concerning cats and the dangers of curiosity. Apparently, she’d thought I must have meant other cats."

I then had to laugh when he mentally accused Hagrid of excessiveness with *his* pets. hee hee I also liked seeing the rapport between these two men, neither of whom are "proper" wizards. Reminded me of the "Pull yourself together, man!" scene in the movie (speaking of which, I can't wait for Movie-Filch to get more screen time in CoS!).
