I love this. The whole scene of them standing in the rain is so sad. I love that they have each other.

I enjoyed this, and I hope there's more to follow (perhaps him getting sick from being wet-through and cold?). I'm assuming he was drunk, from your word 'swaying,' and him being at her doorstep at that late hour and under those conditions, but I would've liked one more 'descriptor' describing that condition (stumbled? her hand steadying him? etc). You might want to do a little more proofreading, too, for words that are connected and shouldn't be, etc. Not trying to be mean, just constructive, and I truly am looking forward to another chapter!
