This one sentence really made me feel both character's dark and dismal emotions.

Oh that's wicked RAzzle Trazzle...stopping it there just to tease us...me ...ooer I've had my head in risk assessments since I came home from work...anxious to read this and what do I get...HARTLEY...I mean a little...itzy...bitzy glance and look down from Rossi...you stick in the mud man staying away from the party cos you knew you couldn't resist Suarez and then running away because she's enjoying herself ...what did you expect...don't fightit Rossi you're toast...you want to hug her, you want to kiss her you want to...her...and Trazzle an added bonus you mentioned The Ugly Truth...ha!

Now second half of this, I know you ...you've written chapter 11 already I'm certain of it...lol

I love the way you are using Christmas and New Years as settings, it brings all the characters together, and it makes Betty feel more alone than ever. Holidays are rough for singles! And Gio refuses to go to a party with her, ouch. We feel Betty's pain.

And Amanda and credit cards! A shopaholic. How typical, and how typical that Betty would know about a hidden card.

Ugh Matt! But Betty sympathizes with him, she isn't a monster, and she used to love him. But, yuck! Enough already. I guess the important thing is that Matt's kiss in no way compares with the one Gio gave her.

What the heck is Gio doing there? I thought maybe she was imagining him. Oh! She's running in heels ... then bare feet? On a New York street in winter? We know from this, if we didn't before, Betty must be crazy desperate.

Aye, what a place to leave the story hanging? Hello, cliff!

no! no! no!... Matt has a way to ruin things. But it's not even his fault! it's Betty's fault. Bad timing. REALLY bad timing. And Gio refused to go to Daniel's party.
Now i can't wait to read more. What will Gio say?

Trazzle thanks for updating so quickly (even if you are in the midst of your daily life compromises...love you for that).
This was quite a sweet Hilda-Betty moment. Very much like the show itself: S3-S4 Betty letting her pessimism overcome her positivism (she needs Gio badly to bring her out of her eternal dark side) and Mamma Hilda the know-it-all...she can read Betty very easily (mostly because she gives herself away! you captured that accurately).

And THE ANIMALISTIC KISS! lol at that expression. We should add it to the Getty vocabulary.

And just in the middle of all that funny dialogue you make a sudden stop with: ""Do you think he could ever love me again?" nice! you bring us back to the angst of her hopeless heart.

Oh Trazzle sorry real life getting in the way today...how dare it!

That was delicious babe really and mama Hilda the all knowing one who can smell a snog from a hundred miles away getting it out of Betty and so loving at the end ..she knows Gio always loved his B...will always love his B and he can never be...angry for too long he needs her, he wants her...he has ALWAYS love her...he just needs to allow himself because finally and twenty years too late he now knows she needs, wants and dearly loves him...

Bummer you'd better have chapter 10 on the go ...never mind exams...ha ha!

Yay, Hilda will prompt Betty into action! Trademark Hilda to dig the truth out of her.

And with Hilda's encouragement, I hope Betty realizes she must find Gio, and fight to break through his defenses.

Of course, Betty, being Betty, she could not help herself from correcting Hilda, thus spilling the beans, lol!

Wowsa that's so good...oh dear this is a stocking filler chapter...love and hate these but mainly love...oh I can't wait now ...you're going to pull a Betty post party chapter next aren's you Trazzle to further frustrate me and well I'm guessing a bit of Metty jealousy to play you know to ensure Gio finds out he REALLY LOVES SUAREZ... a little part of his heart that was only B's...oh that's so beautiful and so true...oh is that the name of a song and a St Gio moment...now the crappy part having to wait for chapter 9 ...I don't do waiting and I bet Rossi is just itching to grab hold of Suarez again...cos she's...addictive and he's addicted to lurve

Trazzle. Thanks for the dedication. Great work on the Mia and Nella characters. I love how Gio interacts with the women of his life. He is so active and so caring and overprotective. But most important, he's so happy.
And Betty brings that part of him where there's mostly pain and that probably puzzles him and hurts him and still "there was a tiny little part of his heart, battered and bruised though it was, that bore the name Betty. It belonged solely to her."
Isn't that beautiful?

Nella is typical Nella here, loved it when she said this:

And his beloved Angela's last wish to him, so touching and so loving ... so like her to be so thoughtful. And poor Gio, he wants to love again but he fears it more. You describe him so sad and poignantly here:

"A fragile heart twice shattered yearns to be whole again but Gio felt sure that the pieces wouldn't fit together anymore."

Beautifully written. I really felt Gio's dilemma.

You did it! this chapter is just the thing I just LOVE about Getty and fanfiction. I have so many favorite quotes. Gio leaning to Betty muttering those CRUEL CRUEL (and oh darn-sexy) words to her face. Pushing her to the wall.. KISSING HER! HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!
I'm not able to articulate a decent review (have i ever _) but... I am loving how you made this scene so believable. I believe that Gio would explode like that, i believe that excruciating moment between them would only inevitably end in passion. I can picture Gio leaving Betty puzzled and confused, just like that... after such display of passion.
