A very big change from the Alistair we know and love from the games, hey? Lovely, bittersweet short story. That last bit could've used a bit more emotional 'oomph', if you ask me, but I certainly enjoyed reading it.

I have no idea how I missed this- my apologies. It's so beautiful. That poem fits in perfectly and you used the images in it so vividly. It's so sad how he's lived his whole life without her yey still loves her so much (this is the ending of my Aeducan). I like that Alistair misses the whole group, as well as her and the ending paragraph gripped me so powerfully. Great job! :)

I have a special place in my heart for Fereldan's goofiest King; it saddens me to think that this is probably such an accurate view of how things might turn out.

He must grow, age, and return to Ozrammar someday-I imagine that this is how it would be.
