This is really awesomely written. I initially passed it over when I saw the summary, but after I read you other fic "Advanced Directive" I went to your profile to see what else you had. I really like the style this is in, simple and not over embellished like a lot of fics on here. I also like the fact that Astrid didn't recognize herself. Mirrors were a commodity back then, so it would have been difficult to get a really good look at yourself - calm water or a really shiny dish or cup would have been your only way of seeing your own face. Also, as an artist, I totally know what Hiccup is feeling when trying to get a face just right.
