Really, it's just so...I don't even know. I don't usually like animeverse stories unless they center around Alfons, but this...it was heartbreaking before we found out who the girl was, but the last line...;-;

ffffft, my HEARTSTRINGS. Ed and his weakness for kids needs to be played upon like this more often. Ed using the word "bean" as a term of endearment is priceless. And I love how he is "her" madman, and how she reaffirms this towards the end after meeting up with him again.

Ed needs someone who believes his stories; he's so LONELY in the Movie, even though he's cared about, because all his accomplishments in life mean nothing to anyone on the Europe side. Of course it'd be a kid who believes him - and the kid you chose is perfect for the part, by the way - and believe him because she recognizes his conviction. The snippet of Ed's Winry description is the point where this fic ate my heartstrings like spaghetti.

And ALFONS. He is adorable. He doesn't believe Ed - you caught his feelings perfectly with him being ashamed for not being able to believe - but he knows it's good for his crazy roommate to have someone who does believe, whether he's right or not.

I am babbling but I found this unbearably cute, so yeah. Much love XD;

Aw, this is sweet! I can't think of anything more intelligent to say, but this was a great read. Ed seems so depressed when the movie starts. I'd like to think that maybe, if only for a while, he had someone like alt!Elicia to believe in him. Oh, and, I was completely unprepared for the reveal of her identity.
