A story that looks at Squall's thougts when he was a child. This is the reason why he always prefers to be alone.

Another great story. I loved the bubble metaphore. That just describes Squall's thoughts wonderfully. You really can see his bitter loneliness even as a kid. This is really great!

Beautiful! :::sniffles::: It makes me want to go and give my Squall action-figure big hugs. Your use of symbolism (the soap bubbles thing) is really exquisite. I was also fasinated by the way Squall sees Seifer as an ally rather than an enemy. I never thought about it that way. This piece kind of reminds me of that Everclear song "wonderful" where the kid gets all pissed off at everyone telling him to be happy. You would think that if Squall was really that mad at the other kids for trying to make him play with them, he'd show more signs of hostility towards them in the game (except they supposedly forgot they all grew up together, right?) Well anyhow, great writing and keep it up!
