Yeah, I'm gonna be a terrible person. You don't get a proper review, although you deserve one. Man! The planning in this is tangible. The technobabble is remarkably decipherable and very good, the writing is smooth, plot full of intriguing twists and turns (is Rufus gonna be turned into a kind of uber-evolved human-Cetra-like-thing? Poor guy.), and hey, you've earned my admiration as a writer for dealing with as many characters in one scene very well in this chapter.
Best wishes for that bitch called Real Life, and best hopes for an update in the future.

Just gonna post this here - I love this side story! I'm reading my way through to catch up slowly and steadily, and hoping for an update all the while, but this chapter struck me as man, you know your world. I don't know enough about molecular biology and genetics (a semester of Bio 101 doesn't help too much) to know if something like this is truly feasible, but I admire the originality and plausibility of your theses.
(Even if your "paper" lacks an abstract. I kid, I kid!)
This is a damn good story, and even if I am a terrible person and fail to review after finishing reading what's here, please know that you've converted another great fan.

I absolutely love this fic! I'm a little sad that you've decided to portray the Turks as being the ones that essentially gave over Cloud and Zack but that's your choice and I believe you've credibly given reasons for it and the effects of those decisions on everyone.
I feel so bad for Cloud. My poor little Cloud :( He's a trooper.
I'm glad that you also made Sephiroth show that little bit of kindness to Zack and that you fully established they had a strong friendship.
There a too many things to talk about and I can't remember them all (the pregnant lady, was the virus inside her belly and that's why it bloated or had she literally been pregnant? Then BOOM, that was pretty cool.)
So, can't wait till you update again. I love the plot line. I would love for Vincent to find out he's half Sephy's father (especially since it's canon that Hojo is the dad but I really love the idea of Vincent being his true father.)

Lots of talking and explaining in this one, but it's progress! And I do think it would be a rather bad idea for Sephiroth to carry Cloud, even if it would be easier than having Tifa lug him around. I can just imagine what Cloud's reaction might be to waking up that close to Sephiroth. It would not be pretty. And the WEAPONs might not have much left to destroy.

well, cloud zack? and cloud himself and sephiroth is not insane.. Rufus is somewhere, being experimented upon and... uh.. this fanfic is disturbing in some parts, hilarious in other areas and Hojo a character that must die.

This was a very lovely surprise! I love the first version of this story but find myself so excited to see how all these new developments play out! Huge Zach fan, was wonderful to see him, hope he's around more! The way you write him and Seph are amazing, I want more more! And the black bit of hair that remained - is that a hint Cloud is starting to change in to Zach for good? Ugh just can't wait!
