Finally got through the chapter...kept getting interrupted. Doing great please keep it coming...great chapter!

Probably the most poorly written chapter in the story yet. And that is saying something! UGH! Morbid fascination keeps me reading with eyes rolled.

Feel bad for the boys having to eat that stuff sounds very gross. They were so close. I had hospital food before and it wasnt as gross looking as that sounding of course I was able to pick out what i wanted too.

Cooter and Bev are sure making there parents worry. Its only a matter of time before they are found out.

Glad to see Cooter's and Bev's parents brought in. Housekeeper, huh? Lot-ti-da! Someone other than Boss has money in town, huh? Did HE even have one? Time for them to face the music on that one.

As for Pauline, I think this is the first chapter in a long time that she didn't come off as just plain annoying and shrill. To be honest, I hate when she is brought in now but today she was sedate, even if Jesse's reactions to her seemed a little out of proportion. Usually she is strung so tight that just hearing her "Voice" makes me cringe and at times skip her dialogue altogether. I'm sure that's not what anyone wants to hear because if a character is written like that a lot of story is missed by no fault of the reader. Glad she is being dialed back a bit.

As for Jeb at the end, that is funny. Of course he's probably getting worked up over nothing. Its not like he'll ever see this "chick" again anyway.

I'm sure that the meeting between Karen and Danny just might be eventful. Especially if Karen gets her visitor before then.

another great chapter - you have great talent in painting the pictures and building the tension. please keep writing - as you said, it is YOUR story, and it is YOUR story that we are interested in reading! Please keep the chapters coming

A nice chapter. I'm sure that when Jeb meets Kira again in, oh about, five years or so he won't even recognize her. A moment in time that he'll likely never even realize will alter his life down the road.

As a note: There are a few places where you contridict yourself and it makes it very confusing about what you mean. Might want to reread the chapter as a whole since the contridictions aren't always in the same section.

O no Luke and Jeb both in the hospital. Looks like Jeb met a friend. Hope Dasiy and Bo can keep up with the story Luke was telling. Even though it makes Jeb out to be worse than them. AT least with the sneaking off for the races.

WOW ! You've been pretty busy. Sorry I missed it til now. I have to admit the drag racing plot line threw me a bit, but since you followed up with the dirt track and overland racing, it's all good. What part of "Take it easy !" does Luke not get? Then again... He IS a Duke, nuff said. I read some of your proir reviews and frankly, I don't agree. I feel the title of the story refers to several "first times", like Jeb and Bo 1st real racing efforts" Not bad at all BTW" and Jeb riding shotgun with Uncle Jesse on a run for the first time. There's probably several others I've missed, my point is, you've got a great story going here, Don't let a very few negative comments derail ti. I and many,many others will continue to follow the early adventures of the Dukes and look foward to each chapter. Take care, and keep it between the ditches.
