I really enjoyed your story, you obviously have a good idea of what really makes Buffy (and Spike) tick. There was no extra fluffiness and no extra bitchiness, just usual Buffy trying to get control over her life.

"Trust Spike to show up to the Slayer's birthday party with a demon in tow." - am I misunderstanding this line? Who did he bring with him? I imagine there must be something similar in spoiler, but there's nothing else about a date in the story, so that one line seems out of place.

I am looking forward to reading the next chapter/story you publish :)

By far the best of the "Buffy apologizes to Spike" fics I've seen. This actually sounds like Buffy. Not Victim!Buffy or Mean!Buffy, but Buffy as she is, trying desperately to sort out her tangled emotions and over-complicated life.

That was so good! I wish that would really happen on the show but some how I don't see that happening. But I feel that you captured perfectly what Buffy could really be feeling about him. Good job!
