Garfield71 11/4/10 . chapter 2
H, It's getting a bit unlikely here. As a traumatised person myself I know that recovering from a trauma it is essential to keep away from anything causing flashbacks (like in this case an attempt at suicide). So I find it a bit strange that the Doctor even contemplated going to the hospital, and anyone in his right mind calling him in for a suicide after what he has been through. One would avoid it quite automatically.

The second is the therapy sessions. In trauma therapy stabilisation is essential before any trauma exposition is to be applied. So Jeremy dragging the Doctor through anything bad that has happened to him straight away is quite unlikely for a qualified trauma therapist. First a phase of getting to know each other to establish a relationship of trust would come. Then the work on stabilisation so the patient is somewhat emotionally fit enough and able to handle what comes up, a therapist would not expose a trauma with a client that is a complete emotional mess. And a qualified trauma therapist would not dig in that way but let the client be the one who decides what he wants to tell because otherwise the patient can be re-traumatised, if things come up to fast and uncontrolled. And lastly, it's not always advised to talk about traumatising events, digging them up at all in that way.

I'm a bit disappointed that the portraying of trauma therapy here is a bit clicheed and one dimensional.

Poor Doctor and Martha are both having a hard time dealing with what has happened. The Doctor is writing in the Diary at least, and is confused that Jermey gave his number to hi. Guess he never thought that jeremy just wants to help him, thats foriegn to him...

Love it! Can't wait to hear more.

aw geez...

this... sounds like me.

Only I don't HAVE real friends who live close to me... who wold care for me and with me for other people like that...never really did, much. Been looking for those kind of people my whole life... My parents... I learned a long time ago they would never understand. I'm 26.

ANd I don't have a Jeremy. Yet! Workin on that.

Online, i have a few sweet people, i think, who try to help me, whom I try to help. Good for us.

You wrote this for your friend, yes? Well, adding to her thank you... thank you. so much. Someone knows... someone understands... what it feels like...

wow. my brain isn't on straight ANd backwrds lately, but I'll try to give a balanced review!

let's see...

I don't see anything wrong. It tells waht it needs to tell, the dialogue makes sense, the timeing, comic or otherwise, is perfecto, and well... franky I think this rock-eth.

SQUEE.

Love it! Been waiting for this one...

Poor DOctor he is ahving such a rough time. jeremy is very good, and he got punched by the DOctor, not something I expected, but understandable with the Doctor's frame of mind...He had such a rough childhood, no wonder he has trust issues.

Him quiting therapy is not such a good idea, he needs to reconsider that. A diary is a good idea.

Can't wait for an update...

This is so lovely...Poor Doctor he is in shock, and was slapped more than once here. All of them have not faced everything that has happened. This is still going to be a journey for them all...

Can't wait to hear more, had me hanging on the edge of my seat...Love it!

Sounds like the Jones Famly are falling apart as well as the Doctor. It'll take both Jeremy and Donna to keep things together.

BTW, where's Clive Jones?
