Great story, sucks it is unfinished, was looking forward to the conclusion of it

Soulfire524,While I hate and loathe Akane,Rippen has allowed Akane to learn and grow from her mistakes rather then bashing Akane completely unlike many other writers who hate and loathe Akane who just bashes Akane and I do respect this writer for that. It's a pity that Rippen stop writing this fic since I would love to see the return of M Bison and seeing two criminal organizations (Shadaloo vs Geese/Regal/Wolfgang Krauser organization)fighting each other.

Soulfire524 please grow up and stop being such a fucking ignorant baby the writers do not always know what they are doing with their characters, they do not always present their characters well and do not always know how to do good character development and even not know how to present a good 'romance' like Takahashi does. So do not be so blind in your faith towards writers.

Also there are a lot of cannon couples that do not work if you think about it Akane is among them I know she has her issues with guys but with Ranma who does not fight back and I quote from the profile of Kixen who describes it very well:

Oh god I hate this pairing the list of reasons why is almost endless, but I will list a few. For starters there is no trust or communication between them. While I can understand that Akane is basically damaged good thanks to Kuno and the Hentai brogade, it affects her to the point where she jumps to the worse possible conclusion and instead of listening to Ranma's side she either beats the stuffing out of him or sends him flying. It was always pin the blame on Ranma when most of the time he had nothing to do with it even if Akane was at fault between the two it would always be Ranma's fault. Don't get me wrong Ranma was no angel in either series, but at the same time we wasn't a spoiled rotten brat like Akane was. So in a nutshell I will never make a fanfic pairing these two and never ask me to besides almost ever fanfic site I visit is 80 percent Ranma/Akane pairings anyways including this site.

I mean seriously Akane Tendo is nothing more then a pathetic spoiled brat under the delusion she is always right and says she is a martial artist when in fact she is not because what does she do when somebody annoys her or disagrees with her or whatever? I'll tell you what she does she lashes out! And never find anything wrong with her behaviour! And she thinks beating the shit out of someone makes her right! Thats imposing your views with violence! Akane is NOT a martial artist she is a girl who just knows how to punch and kick! God knows what will happen if somebody meant SERIOUS harm to her!

Also Soulfire524 why did you leave a review if you have no intention of reading a fic? Thats almost as bad as spamming! If you don't like anything out of your own narrow view please close your account and/or don't bother to leave a review on anyones fic and insult ANYBODYS intelligence EVER again!

There are fanfics even better then the manga but I'll complement Rumiko Takahashi on one thing she was very, very, very, very smart to leave Ranma 1/2 so open ended and in a way let the reader make up their own minds about it.

Take Riverlia for example my hat goes off to him for leaving a PROPER review and giving criticisms a good, polite and constructive manner and I agree there are some bugs that need to be ironed in this fic. I hope Rippen Drakuzz you are not offended.

This has potential and I hope you continue this fic when life gives you the time.

Although I have no intention of reading this fic since I find the cannon couples of Rumiko's works the most desirable because in my mind the creator herself knows her characters better than anyone and I find it disrespectful to the creator to disturb that balance based on what you THINK you know about a character, I still plan to compliment you on your courtesy of warding of readers who are also a fan of the more original coupling works or in this case, the passionate, yet short tempered, but quick to forgive, leading lady of Ranma 1/2, Akane Tendo. I may not agree with your perspective and I sometimes find it insulting to the series to remove or disrupt the pairing between such important characters, atleast you cared enough to warn your reader what lies ahead. I hate it when an author says it'll be a surprise pairing or won't come out and say whether its a cannon pairing or not so I know if I want to waste my time reading it. Anyway good luck with your story and I just wanted to give you a pat on the back for the head up in your summary. I hope you enjoy writing, but in your spare time you should try to become do a little more reading into and stuying your characters in Ranma 1/2 if you want to be a better writer, because the best have to know there stuff and when it comes to Rumiko Takahashi's work, trust me I've been through both the anime and manga multiple maybe thousand of times for over past years after my initial addiction to it and I've read through all of her works including the Rumic theater made up of short stories and I can tell you, if you have some sort of altogether negative attitude toward Akane from Ranma 1/2 or the Ranma and Akane (who are the cannon couple) you need to go back and study the manga better you fucked up somewhere. And I'm not being mean, just blunt because Runiko's works are pretty straight forward and all her leading ladies usually are Pasionate (usually in all aspects of life from love, to compassion, and anger. Its as simple as that and you really mess with the series when you plan to mess with the pairings.

I don't mind Akane bashing unless it's too excessive (which, from this first chap, is nowhere near my upper limit), because I don't like her and IMO Akane and Ranma pairing just doesn't click.

I don't mind cliches, as I'm a firm believer that cliches can be cool with the right execution.

I don't even mind OOC if there is a valid reason for that character to become like that, unless the fanfic writer stripped so much away said character might as well be a self-insert or an OC.

So I'm not going to criticize you for not following to a T the depiction of Akane/any character in the manga/anime (technically all fanfics are AU of the canon to begin with), or being cliched.

Still, I feel this chap was a rather weak start for two reasons.

First, the catalyst: love potion, poisonous cooking and random wand reacting with each other to cause a magical reaction is already hard to believe. But transporting a person to who know where then conveniently transport back said person from 16 years later plus family, at the same spot, without a moment passing?

It breaks suspension of disbelief and subsequently break immersion.

Second, weak/forced character interaction: This is the worst problem of this chapter IMO. I can force my brain to shut down and ignore the catalyst if the interaction can make me go gaga over my favorite characters, but I cant ignore bad interaction. It's the meat of the story, if I ignore it, there's nothing left.

-Nodoka got mad at Akane for hurting her son and doesn't mind mistresses, but get mad at an obviously changed and emotionally unstable Ranma for having a wife, then demand he marry the Tendos, without bothering to learn more about the situation, despite the pair already had a child and Nabiki - a Tendo, doesn't seems to mind at all?

-Kasumi going from mourning to glaring at the woman supposed to be her mother-in-law?

-Nabiki hearing 16 years have passed for Ranma and act like nothing big happened? What Ranma plan to do now is hardly a pressing enough matter to override her reaction.

On the same boat, Cologne going home without trying to find out what's going (and it's obvious that something serious happened), with because she cant trust Shampoo or Mousse with running Nekohanten efficiently?

Quite the messed up sense of priority if you ask me

-Ranma got mad at Nodoka for ordering him to explain, when she was clearly shocked and ignorant, with the excuse that he hated being controlled. Minutes later Nabiki pretty much told him she plan to make more money off of him, and he didn't bat an eye.

-Nodoka and Ranma breaking the bond of mother-son without bothering to give the briefest explanation or consider what's going on.

A rather harsh review I think, but I hope it was constructive.

not bad, though some irritating things were present.

having two kasumi's was a bit irritating, but oh well.

ranma...well, he just couldn't bring myself to like him that much. he was ok, i guess. the fact that his drive to be the best wasn't there anymore was a real bummer.

bringing in ryu as this mythical fighter figure that no-one was ever gonna beat really pissed me off though. (dunno why you have him in there either, not like he's part of KOF, is he? or why only him and his family?)

anyway, not bad, but it could have been much better.

I love Kuno (the boy Tawaki (?)) and I hate it when authors do nohting but bash him! I love him and I love that you gave him some light.

Good stuff, i especially like your writing style, always pulling in your readers in for more, watning to know the answers to questions and so forth. Even though I'm only passingly familiar with the KoF universe I find the characters more believable and find myself concerned for them. You have fine skills and should be comended.
