that said, i just wanted to say that i really liked this story. short, and sweet, and true to character all around. the beginning ("seekers must be attracted to other seekers") is excellent - have you read audrey thurston hirsh's stories? the latest features a very twisted draco-harry-ginny love triangle, which finds its beginning in quidditch, and in which all three are good seekers. having read this story, the connection between those facts is suddenly crystal clear! the story of callisto and her son does fit neville's (non-)relationship with his parents very well (poor neville!), and the ending was perfect - because no way could neville NOT step on a girl's feet while dancing, but of course he deserves to be loved anyway. (hugs neville. then hugs him again. can't stop hugging neville...just color me supportive.)
