This was a very interesting chapter :D I like the progression in Bruce's and Jenny's relationship - the bit at the end especially. I think it'd be nice to see a little more of their conversations (like the ones you say happened over the weeks following their escape from the Mad Hatter). Partly to see how Bruce acts around her, and how much is real and how much is still an act.

I was also intrigued by the small Jackie flashback - reminds me there's still so much we don't know about her!

Now to a semi-proper and hopefully useful review.

I LOVE the villains and how you seem to capture the Nolan-verse so perfectly, and I think that if they continued making more Batman movies, they'll need to buy the ideas off you. I think that maybe sometimes Jenny and Jackie can come off as a little Mary-sueish? I don't know, too cool. Maybe I'm just making it up to try and turn this into constructive criticism rather than a love letter, I never have been too good at spotting unbalanced characters. I would love to see more of the Alfred, Bruce and Jenny dynamic going on, I can see the old guy poking some fun at their expense.

This may be the only review I write, but I will be following your work closely.

Wow, you really did the fallout well with all your pacing/references back to the previous two weeks. I love how all your characters are acting true to themselves, and I think you were able to channel that and write your dreaded "romance" portion as it would have happened. I'm pretty sure this will make your other readers only crave more, so Keep it up!

I like that you didn't reveal the identity of the King of Hearts until about half-way through, even though I had my suspicions. It's great to see Bruce as Bruce in this kind of situation, and how he has to figure out how to work around Jackie. And I love how protective/caring he is towards Jenny :D
