carelessxmistakes 10/5/11 . chapter 5Hi Olive Hue! I just wanted to point out, and I hope I don't sound like a b*tch or a snob when I say this, but about the cyanide poisoning... there is no such thing as a "little" cyanide poisoning. I'm a biology major and when cyanide enters the body it doesn't allow the formation of oxygen to water in something called the electron transport chain. now this is very important because this is the final stage of energy making for the body. If the cells can no longer make energy they die, and as a result the entire body dies.
Just thought you would like to know :) |
WanderingChild96 6/4/11 . chapter 13This was great:) Somehow you managed to keep Holmes and Watson in character (I adored Crewe's nickname for the doctor. He does chuckle a lot, doesn't he?) And despite the story being short, the romance was done very well! It didn't happen too fast at all:) Great work! |
Sonya Rivers 2/15/11 . chapter 13LOVE IT! Thanks for writing! |
Kay104 12/29/10 . chapter 13I loved your story soooooo much, your just awesome. I just read the ending chapters, the whole time I tried not to cry but...*sniff* I had a total tear fest. Thank you for your story. :) *sniff* |
Dragonwings66 5/23/10 . chapter 12Kay... How do I say this? I ADORE AMANDA! I mean, seriously, BEST OC EVER EVER! I mean, I really REALLY like this story... and have actually command and copied the entire thing and stored it on my computer (Don't worry lol) so I could pull it up whenever and read it. And I LOVE Watson's reaction to Holmes proposing (Which by the way, You keep Holmes in character, Congrats to you!) *smirks*
Okay, done rambling..
Or maybe not..
Sequal Please? Or if not.. I would really like a oneshot or something on Holmes' reaction to when she realizes she's gone. *smirks* I really really wish you had made this longer. *sighs*
*has sudden image of Amanda' sister getting plopped in the time period and her reaction to when she realized her sister is married to Sherlock Holmes and bursts out laughing*
Okay.
Sorry.
*grins like a crazy woman*
Just repeating again how wonderful this story is!
Oof. Longest review I've ever written. Ah well. You deserve it. |
shadowontherun 4/8/10 . chapter 13loved the story :D fanfiction always quiches my sherlock holmes craze - for a little while anyway :) |
Englishman 3/11/10 . chapter 13 I read this a year ago, but forgot to review. This story is sod good. It is one of the best stories on Sherlock Holmes. Very well written. If I had to rate it from 1-10, I'd give it a 12. (Yes, I know it's not between 1 and 10) :) |
Yami Dragoness of Dark 10/31/09 . chapter 13You know...I read this story a year ago, thought nothing of your author's note at the end of this chapter and went on with my life. But then at school, I picked up a book called the Beekeeper's Apprentice because the title struck a cord in my memory. After reading through it I laughed and remembered your story and came back to reread it. I think I've reread your story several times now, enjoying it each time. I like your version of Holmes. It's amusing, as opposed to Mary Russel's version, which is more serious with a touch of humor - I think I've read BKA five times now.
On a side question: Have you read the rest of the Mary Russel series? |
IrregularHonour 10/6/09 . chapter 13I just wanted to let you know that I found your story a delightful torment (oxymoron as that may sound- don't ask me to explain what I mean- too complicated). Please write more. |
Illusion of the Mirror 7/16/09 . chapter 13Bravo! Bravo! Encore!
This was the singularly best fanfiction I have ever read in my entire life! I laughed and I cried! I worried and waited! It was an adventure that I shall surely come back to experience again and again.
You're writing style is unique and refreshing. You dotted your is and crossed your ts, but you also did more than that. You took previously established characters and made them something completely wonderful and distinctly yours. I am so very impressed. I will be recommending this story to anyone and everyone that will listen, rest assured!
You have a wonderfully extensive and rare vocabulary and an obvious love for the English language. This story is a phenomenal achievement that should, no doubt in my mind, be published and added to the Sherlock Holmesian archive. Truly!
I must say that I'm quite disappointed that it's all over, and that I would love to see more from you, especially involving Amanda Crewe. She was a lovely and original character that burst onto the scenes and into the spotlight, stealing my heart as she went along. I only hope to one day be so skilled at establishing characters.
Finally, I want to, not only congratulate you, but thank you. This was a breath of fresh air. For too long I've been browsing and have found very few talented writers. Thank you for time well spent and for a great adventure. You have earned my praise and my gratitude.
I truly believe that you have done the great character, nay, the greatest character, of Sherlock Holmes due justice. That is the compliment of the century.
So ta ta, dear friend. I'll be back. Take care and God bless.
