This was very cute! I can totally see a married Jo and Laurie having a conversation along these lines. And I 100% agree with you...What makes Jo and Laurie the perfect couple is the fact that they aren't perfect! They are equals, they're passionate, they'll fight and argue...in effect if given the chance, they'd have had a modern marriage that worked...unlike all of the couples in Little Women which were based on the more traditional version (man as head of the family and other such nonsense)...Thanks Maria!

I love this funny, banter-filled ficlet! You are amazing at keeping Jo and Laurie in character and making them so witty. Amusingly cynical Laurie is wonderful and Jo's responses are hilarious. You breathed life into characters who really turned morbidly boring after getting married in canon and I really appreciate that. I still haven't found time to read more than a chapter of '20 Ways to Do the Minuet' but I'll definitely be reading it today. Looking forward to that and more great snippets from you.
