Great one shot. Nick's my favorite so far guess you know that already. I missed more crime fics based on his character or at least having him working with the team. Having some clues or references to his early days as CSI is realy cool. Crossing my fingers to find more from you.

Very, very nice! I like the character of Johns and how he goes from being a bit of a smartass to being concerned about Nick at the scene. Love also the locker room scene at the end and the "elephant" analysis! You write very well...very descriptively and concisely. And Nick is so true to character that it seems canon even tho it's not exactly. Good job!
