AGirlWonder 5/31/11 . chapter 18I initially scoffed at the idea of another Blind Zuko fic, but this was actually really good. It's cool that you were able to turn it into a multi-chaptered story. I think the reactions were believable. I don't know about his face staying the same post-Agni Kai, but it's a non-issue. |
Fluffyou 5/20/11 . chapter 18 Wow. I freaken loved it. I would have loved to see katara heal him, maybe years later but you ended well. I like your writing style and i could imagine what it must be like to be blind. Absolutly wonderful! • |
Gwydion 2/12/11 . chapter 18Having reached the end, I have to say it was as good as I hoped it would be from the start. The story as a whole was very well written, and you really seemed to have a great handle on all the characters and their personalities. As far as fanfiction is concerned, you've definitely managed to grasp them better than a vast majority of others I've stumbled across. And on top of that you had an interesting and unique story that really made you stop and think and, most importantly, feel.
Admittedly, there was always a small corner of my mind wishing and hoping that SOMEHOW he would gain his sight back at the end, but in truth I like the ending you penned a lot better. It's more realistic (not to mention I have a thing for bittersweet endings), and it shows that Zuko is fighting and working hard, never giving in or giving up. But at the same time, it does leave that slight glimmer that maybe, just maybe Katara will be back in several years with a "cure".
It was a wonderful story, so thank you for sharing! _ Good luck with any future stories! |
Gwydion 2/12/11 . chapter 9Ok, so I was going to wait and review the whole thing once I finished, but this chapter (and the end of the last one) really struck me, so I had to applaud you for that. Being an artist - and a very visual person in general - it just really hit home once Zuko started thinking about never seeing flowers and missing colors. It wasn't too hard for me to guess that he wouldn't get his sight back (I mean, come on, there were still 11 chapters left by the time he got to the NP, haha), but his reaction to the news seemed very real. Not ashamed to admit it made me tear up at the thought of what that would be like.
Beautiful job so far! All the characters are a joy to read. I especially enjoyed Toph's non-pep talks and Sokka's snowball fight and of course Zuko. I look forward to reading the rest and seeing just where this story goes. |
Rowan Zaron 1/31/11 . chapter 1I like this story a lot. Very well put together. I would love to read snippets of what happens after, but that is entirely up to whether you have enough inspiration for it. Wonderful Job! _ |
RomanticizeMe 12/27/10 . chapter 18I loved Avatar! This was incredible and really draws you in as a reader. Quite incredible. |
 ferryboat George 11/14/10 . chapter 18Delightful story |
TealEyedBeing 9/9/10 . chapter 18Happy ending! :D but not the cliche happy ending, which made it all the better! Lemme tell you, i was just *waiting* for Zuko to fight while he was blind, and i was esctatic that you *did* include it! :D overall, an utterly brilliant story x3 |
WolfieStar 9/7/10 . chapter 18This is one of the best , I mean, this IS the best fan fiction I have ever written. The description and character personalities were amazing and so in character.
What I found so wonderful was the way you simply changed where Azula had hit Zuko, and that change the original episode plot, but for the better. Yet it had ended the same, and I really do love it.
You don't see fan fics like these anymore. I can see potential and greatness. Writing is your talent, definetly.
Thanks for a wonderful read (: |
Ignus R 9/3/10 . chapter 18That was a beautiful ending, both realistic and optimistic. I wonder if you;d be inclined to write a sequel to this, and see if he can't have Mai again in his life, and maybe argue withKatara over experimental procedures of water healing. That would be grand.
Anyway, I have already said what emotions your story creates in a reader, and I stand firmly by it. Well done! |
Ignus R 9/3/10 . chapter 9I made myself stop reading to write this to you, and tell you how well you have been doing building up the pathos of this entire yarn. Well done! I really like the heightening of hope, only to have it crushed again- I suspected something like that would happen, at least for now.
I think you are going to yield Zuko a greater hero that any of the Gaang, and he's going to earn every bit of adulation.
If you aren't already in the professional writer's business, you should at least consider it- take it from someone who actually is ;) |
Tosharino 9/2/10 . chapter 18Oh that was SUCH and awsome story! I absolutely LOVED it! I loved how you write, and I love how many chapters there are, and I love how you didnt make it so Zuko was garenteed to get better no matter what. He had to deal with his condition, but found new ways to go through life, and kick butt! :P 10/10 for sure! |
swfdgirl37 8/29/10 . chapter 18This story was really amazing! I loved reading it, and everyone was perfectly in character. This story was amazing! |
