I. LOVE. THIS. STORY. And I'll tell you why. It's not simply because I am a HUGE Jack and Claire fanatic, but because this story proves that you and I are on the same wavelength, as far as the fate of Claire Kincaid...allow me to explain. In MY little corner of the fandom, Jack and Claire were married on May 23, 1996 (the date that, canonically, Claire died in the accident). Also, in my little world, Claire was NOT killed in that accident (just as she wasn't here, in your story- also, with me, the accident obviously happened at a later date). She survived her injuries (though, natch, she was in the hospital awhile, as she was here), and due to some long-term effects from the accident (debilitating migraines, etc.), she was never able to return to work in the DA's office. She and Jack, however, are still very happily married to this day.

A very nice story. I didn't watch Law & Order back then, but I'm catching up on A&E & TNT. I like Jack SO much better than Ben Stone. And, yes, Serena is a ditz. She should go back to Angel!
