What else can I say that hasn't already been said in the other reviews...but yes, very well-written, thought-provoking, and touching. I especially like the bit about how maybe Helen wishes he _would_ confront her about it. Maybe she does, for all we know. At least that would mean he's paying attention...

Anyway, a sweet, poignant little vignette of a story. Well-done. :)

You know what would make this perfect? Using these POVs as a prologue to a larger fic. what I mean is, Brittas confronting Helen, being proved right, and seeking advice from say...Laura? Let Brittas have his own moment of infidelity.

That was a really brilliant story. I think I read it right and you did state that there was a disrespectful child but Helen has three children from one or both of her previous marriages. It's not until series 2 that Brittas has any kids of his own.
I hope you write more as this is fantastic, and if you need help with facts, I'll try and help.

Fantasically written, if I wasn't already a huge Brittas fan, you would've got me hooked.

Well, what can I say? I've been a Brittas Fan for years and that was brilliant. You've really captured the sad side of Gordon, that is very rarely seen but oh so touching when you do.
It almost made me cry!

I thought this was very touching. Poor Gordon. He's so stupid, and trusting, and hounourable...you can't help feeling symaphetic for him. It really was a bad idea for Helen to marry him: with someone who is tactless and honest, yet rusting and unsuspicious. It's really impossible to do that, and you captured that well.

I myself have not watch much Brittas Empire (only series 2) but I thought this was really good. You should write something more soon.
