Hee! I'm catching up on Castle fic, and I have to say, I quite like this one. It's cute and romantic, but it's not completely over the top and out of character. Very, very nice!

I can't agree with you that this is out of character for Kate. I thought it was great! I especially liked the 4 "It didn't matter" denials and how they revealed that she had been staying with them and was feeling a part of the family. I also liked how Castle called her on the Winnie the Pooh pajamas :) All I can say about Alexis is - you go girl - "like a dog on a bone" - prove it indeed! I thought it was funny that Kate fell back on the scientific process when she was so flabbergasted by the kiss. The ending was great with both of them knowing that they weren't ready just yet, but they would definitely get there one day!
