Kurogane too had the plunge into darkness, and it's terrifying. And after Tokyo and what happened to Fai, something like that would be happen to him.

Oh, poor Fai...

Xing Huo really makes me shiver sometimes, and this is one of those times. The thing that's funny is that it's in the glare and the smile at the end of the piece that I begin to suspect that she cares about Fai's fate.

The last line sends a shiver down my spine.

Kurogane and Fai are meant to be, I have officially decided. I liked the whole conflict of this story and how it ties in with 'Marumekomu' and Acid Tokyo. Really great story!

Love the "subtle" hints of something between Kurogane and Fai, especially in times of crisis. In fact, I think it's one of my favorite thoughts of yours.

Kurogane is very protective of Fai. But then, it is Xing Huo. So he does have a good reason to be. Very, very good story :D

So far I like the characterrization you gave Kurogane hee, very much like CLAMP there. And the villains tend to be my favorite characters to read and write about, along with the main charactes; I like seeing how people make them more human than CLAMP did. Anyway, awesome.

I love how you put in just hints of Kurogane and Fai, without anything necessarily happening.

This is AWESOME! I loved it!

The final line makes clear why (aside from his naturally rough and tough disposition) Kurogane is so hard on Fai through this ordeal: he has to put up with Fai and the othes in that ordeal, sometimes simultaneously.
