The chemistry between Snake and Otacon (or Dave and Hal) feels real and completely possible. I don't know how you did this but I think I'm your biggest fan now.

I read this sometime ago; about time I reviewed it. *sighs* the characterisation is perfect. Do write more. They're so cute outside of work, aren't they, addictions or not... I think I'm growing addicted to them. ^_~

Looking at the reviews, what I'm about to say isn't controversial or original in any way - but this series is wonderful. Vignettes are one of my favourite styles of writing, and you pull them off marvelously. Your characterisation and descriptive writing is brilliant - "Coffee and Cigarettes" in particular is a perfect Otacon - as well as your pacing. To conclude, in an uninspiring but entirely true finale: these pieces are very close to Fanfic Perfection, a place difficult to find anywhere. Excellent work!

Quiet and laid-back, yet strangely telling... the sort of story I love. Not overdramatic, or very dramatic at all, and the first-person perspective gives them an intensely personal and, well, 'them', voice. I can imagine these scenes happening without any difficulty--Excellent characterization and a good fanfic overall, just when I was despairing of finding any in this section. Lovely.

Still that good ol' "see our heroes in everyday life situations and not save the world" richness of the previous chapters, but was way too short. And at least Snake didn't smoke this time. :)

I like it. They seem deep and yet not so deep at the same time, depending on how much I want to think about it. Good work.
