Wow, your last omake had me rolling xD Well, not rolling. I'm barely well enough to crouch right now. Damn flu. Anyway this story was what I'd been looking for all along! I love retellings with my interests (in this case, NejiTen) highlighted! And yes, they were very IC. You managed to capture Neji's icy exterior, the same personality he'd displayed during the Chuunin exams, while retaining his inner softness for his team, and showed him warming up perfectly. I feel the way you connected it to the main story of the manga was done well too, especially when you connected it to their first manga appearance. The Gai piggyback part also had me reeling with laughter. I'd forgotten Kakashi's ridiculous look as he flailed about lol.

I also had a feeling you weren't done with this story, since it didn't feel like you'd concluded it, but I understand why the updates would be infrequent. Really interested to see what you do when it comes to the part where Neji dies in the manga. Much more prefer this to Kishi's work!

I loved reading this. I just couldn't stop until I was done. I think you should re-write this same fic from Tenten's POV (mostly because I like how you write and you're able to keep them in character so well). I wish Kishimoto would put more Team Gai in the manga.

This was probably one of the cutest NejiTen fics I have ever read. I loved the development of their relationship, everyone was in character and you didn't progress anything too quickly or too slowly. I love it!
