I absolutely loved this! So sad and beautiful. I don't know where to start, it really captures the essence of their relationship IMO, the thing about Itachi's mean demeanor and his actual sacrifice to protect Sasuke and Konoha. I loved the bit about Sasuke's chest-revealing shirt. XD I just found your Uchiha drabbles (loved them as well, except for the tiny little part that I'm not a Sasuke/Sakura supporter xD) and am curious to browse for other stories of yours now. I love to read about the Uchiha, especially when it's well-written and IC. And it's hard to find the right balance of brotherly love but not too much kitsch, I mean post-reveal that Itachi was actually a good guy. O I wish they could have had their happy end .

You know, I had been meaning to read this for a long time, but then Real Life got in the way, and I forgot all about this. Tonight though I was in the mood for Uchiha fic, and after having read "Throw" I decided to scroll through your other fic. And lo, we have this!

This was different, but in a good way. Tense, tragic, and full of angst. I love the little moments in this, as when Itachi manages to piece together enough genjutsu to soothe a traumatized baby!Sasuke. And what a powerful image, that of Sasuke dreaming of fireflies and happier times while Itachi silently stands watch, tears of blood dripping down his face. Beautiful and gothic and pretty much captures the dynamic of their relationship. And even though you don't mention it, you allude to the fact that Itachi's sacrifice *was* in vain, that Konoha fell despite Itachi's best efforts...what a horrible and terrible conclusion to a man who's struggled all his life to do the right thing (even if it means hurting the ones you love).

Baby Sasuke is adorable as always. I giggled at the parts of Sasuke swimming in too-big clothes and Itachi reverting back to Big Brother mode. You just know he needed those hugs, even if they were "stolen," as it were. The ending was brilliant but tragic. Itachi's head in Sasuke's lap, dried blood and matted hair. Wow.

In short, very different, very refreshing fic. I hope you don't mind me spamming your inbox, but this was a wonderful (if depressing - but in a good way!) read :) Keep up the good work!

It was so beautiful :') Just wonderful! You make Itachi the bad guy yet like the good guy... I don't know how to explain it but it was just fu cking brilliant. I love this fanfiction... and I clicked Favourite :D Thank you for writing this delicous piece of literature!

Well, that was just full of angst! Very, very awesome, though. Hmm, I was thinking that Itachi go to... Konoha or Suna and Sasuke stay a child for far longer... -shrug-

Awesome ending was cool in my opinion cause now itachi can be the brother he wanted to be and nothing could hurt them. :) though I think Kisame should have died -_-' his rentrance was alright though.
