Good story. I loved all the references, too. Especially the Firefly one. I'm not a big fan (or a fan at all) of anything hetero, I can hardly tolerate the stuff, but aside from the Shepard-being-a-girl part, this was pretty good. If you made male/male versions of Shep/Joker and Jorge/Six, though, I'd be the happiest boy in the world. I would LOVE MSix/Jorge! Please please please?

LOVE the pop culture references, and the way you tweaked them, made them super meta. This a really fun and occasionally heart-wrenching bit of Shenko, made better because it's not explicit, but explanatory and exploratory.

I really liked this! I thought that how you used the mutual interest of sci-fi shows and movies to bring Shepard and Joker together was a neat touch. Joker was very caring, but was never so much that he became out of character. I also thought that your use of terms such as "alternate universe" and "canon" in this story was quite clever.
