I like your ending much better than West Side Story. The rival groups still learn their lesson, but without the blood shed of Steed.
Oh, I also like the way Mother just stands alone at the end of teh play, useless. That's exactly what he was in the series, useless. (In case you haven't gathered already, I don't like Mother.)

Everyone's been saying they don't want Steed to die like Tony did. Maybe, just maybe, you can shake up expectations a bit and have *Emma* be the one to die, taking the bullet to save John's life? (I always did wonder how WSS would be if that were the ending. Especially if she died at the hands of the one who wanted to marry her.) That'd be a shocker, all right! Anyway, keep it comin'!

Man, I love this and I've never even seen an episode of The Avengers! I just like takeoffs on West Side, the musical to end all musicals. I especially like the songs you've changed some lyrics to...the rhymes you come up with are great!More, please, more! (Even if John does have to die.)
