Interesting concept, and creative as hell - however...

(spoiler) houjou already exists as an incarnation in the fuedal era, and the gang meet up with him in the 2nd movie, Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, and also a few episodes in the series.

His name is even Houjou.

Love your fic, and writing style though. I've only seen this concept in another fic before, and it freaked me out - and without my knowledge at the time I probably would've thought it possible. It would be quite ironic that two completely different personalities - yet both somewhat dense - could be the same person.

houjou as inuyasha rencharnation? a nice twist, but houjou doesn't look like anything like inuyasha. i suppose he doesn't have to. is that why houjou is so nice to kagome and easily accepts her excuses? is that just him trying to redeem himself of his pastlife's mistakes on kagome?plus he knows the real reason to why she couldn't make it to any of thier dates? that would explain alot. well besides the fact of him being incrediblly naive and dense, which how most people see him as. just how will kagome feel if she finds out about houjou? whay not do another fic about this? just a request.

Interesting idea. I generally don't like modern reincarnations of characters though (example: Tamahome/Taka in the Fushigi Yuugi 2nd OVA) because they usually make them too sappy. This would be good if you continued it and made Hojo start acting a bit like the old Inuyasha in temperament.

That Hojo was InuYasha's incarnation, was one of the first things I thought of when the series started to mention reincarnation.

I have a fic based on the premise myself, but I keep idling on weather to add more to it, or leave it as is (I only post my finished work.) Sorry for going of about myself.

I like this piece very much. Good grammar, spelling and layout. The only negative, I can't quite pin it down, but the feel of the piece is somewhat removed, like its not quite InuYasha. Oh well, its not really important, considering I still like it. Good Job.
