You really do manage to get inside people and write these characters so well. I think you perfectly captured the difficulties of a relationship where one side of that is so shrouded in secrecy. I wish Nancy could have known the truth and it was especially sad to hear John share with someone else what he couldn't tell his own wife. Great job!

Always great to see something new from you! This was awesome! A little background on Shep and Nancy and what they went through and why it didn't work. But I really loved the John/ Rodney conversation and how they really kind of helped each other out. And I loved the Cracked Not Broken! It basically describes John Sheppard and the way he thinks of himself. He's got some definite damage but he can still do the job! Thanks again for sharing!

This was a cute story. It was well written and I enjoyed reading it.

Really, really, cool, and of course waaay too short. I love these kind of fics, that show a bit more about John and his past, especially if it's done in another character's point of view. So, yeah, really very well done!

Wow, this was good. I am always so excited to see a story of yours appear, and I'm never disappointed.

I love that you've taken the time to explore Sheppard's character from a different point of view. You've turned a short appearance by his ex-wife on the show into a really interesting insight into the emotional life of JS.

Wow - thisw as kind of...unexpected.

When I firstr ead the pairing, John and Nancy (!), I wasnt to favourably inclined to read but then couriosity gio the better of me ; ))

So: very well done! A very emotionally believable trek into Sheps pre-Atlantis life, putting anothe rpiece on the map of the incidents that made John, well John as we got to know him. Also nice to read about present day repercussions for both of them.

Totally loved the Rodney part its so THEM - very sweet.

And as for Nancy still loving John: Im quite sure she still loves him, just in a different way - there are so many permutations, variations of love. Theres love for the partner, but theres also love for oneself (not to be mixed up with egotistical self-centerness), and sometimes you got to leave a person in order to keep that love alive.

So well done and rest assured I do not hate nany, Im just a bit ambigous about her. Shes just a perosn of the past, though really liked the sort of "friend" aspects we got to see on the series.

Good to read a piece of your pen again.
