Very exciting and emotional, this little ficlet - sometimes I got a little caught up in all the description instead of paying attention to what was actually going on, but that might have just been my ADD kicking in.

As to not getting much response - I really do know how you feel, because I'm going through something similar right now. And I've talked myself into continuing to write my latest piece even if damn near nobody is reading it - because I like it, and because it's still just damn near nobody reading, and not *absolutely* nobody. Not yet, at least.

I, for one, really want to know how (or if) you're going to get Spock and Jim back to their own selves (or at least some semblance thereof) - and if the Federation is toast or if it can be saved by Jim and his intrepid band of starship captains.

In other words, chart the damn waters, already. :-)

No! No haitus! Don't abandon us like that! We love you! LOVE you! You and your beautiful, beautiful writing. This little peice here is just a small testimonial to the intence writing prowess you possess. The images are beautiful and the feelings are real, just like everything you write. If things seem tough, re-read your fic from the beginning again and see how far you've come, maybe remember where you wanted the story to go at the beginning and use it as a springboard. Just don't feel like we're mad at you. I know I'm not; writing can be tough, especialy if you don't have any inspiration, but we're ALL writers/aspiring writers here and understand. So take your time and wait for that inspiration, and maybe write some more little beauties like this along the way ;)

Love the atmosphere of this, it's truly like standing in the middle of a storm, and not just the weather kind. Jim laughing like a madman is always fun and pairing that up with another emotionaly devistating mission and a Spock with just the right things to say always creates a perfect chemical balance of awesome.

I really couldn't concentrate on the dialogue. I started reading the first paragraph, and by the end of it, I could not digest anything but the adjectives. There are just too many. And lots and lots of similes. Fewer is better, and this has too many.

This was insanely good. The emotions, the wildness, the whole cliff thing. just plain awesome.

Such an evocative atmosphere-the storm raging around Kirk and in Kirk at the same time. This was a very beautifully written story.
