this was a nice little story to read *smiles* I like how you tried to be realistic in your approach to him being a doctor and what that entails, and what strains that would put on a relationship. he would need someone who had their own career/interests to pursue. it also seemed plausible to me that he would be a bit gun-shy, not only from the demands of his job, but his past relationship with the colleague who almost made him lose it all. now I'm off to read your "John Porter" one!
