I like your characterisation of Silver here, especially in regards to the careless, absent father; there are different kind of monsters in the world, and you got that perfectly. It was an emotional, punchy, engaging read, and I'd returned to it a few times. Your prose was fluent and succient. Nicely crafted work, a original idea that worked wonders.
