VietAngel 7/13/04 . chapter 1I like this. Sorry I didn't get a change to review it sooner. It's a very interesting take. In most stories that involve Max and Asha, Asha is just the punching bag. In this one, it's very obvious that the have a lot of animosity toward each other, but there's still something that draws them together. This is great. |
Fin Tuscany 8/27/02 . chapter 1I loved it. This story is loaded for bear, and it hits the ground running. Very rich in detail:
"She moves back, grabs Max's wrists and lays Max's arms straight out above her head, knuckles knocking against the headboard."
The appearance of Alec at Crash sounds just the right warning note, like the bell that calls you back to your seat in the theatre:
"Couldn't you just," he says, and Max can't help but look at him out of the corner of her eye, "eat her?"
In a way, rather Margaret Atwood-ish. Thanks for writing it. |
